Architecture Weekly #52 - 6th December 2021
Welcome!
Today in Poland, we're celebrating Saint Nicholas Day. That means gifts in the morning from the cheerful, beardish old man with red clothes. It's one of those days I've been waiting for the most when I was a child. It sounds like you were nice the whole year, as he left me some excellent links for you!
I especially recommend:
Lee Gilmore - Serverless Event-Driven Systems - superb, thorough explanation on how to work with Event-Driven systems using AWS Lambdas and related stack.
Hironobu SUZUKI - The Internals of PostgreSQL - I love such deep dives. It’s incredibly hard to provide detailed insights while making it accessible. The key besides the good write-up is to use clear visualizations. That’s like in this online book.
Nature - Mapping the NFT revolution: market trends, trade networks, and visual features - Intriguing article showing the distribution of the NFTs. TLDR, it’s not much different from the general wealth distribution. It proves that so far that doesn’t look like anarchists’ dream world.
